2:57 PMOther than that, i consider my poddy as a compliment for my books. HAHA. Because whenever i do my work, my poddy is my best friend. I can listen to voices of some of my favourite bands and singers. Bands like Good Charlotte( woo, currently my favourite), Jimmy Eat World( 2nd to Good Charlotte), Dishwalla,The Fray,The All Americian Rejects and Bowling for Soup(basically Punk rock bands). They rock totally. Singers like Robbie Williams , Aerosmith and Daniel Powter are my favourites. Woohoo, Thank god for giving them such talents that's able to mesmerize the listeners with their voices.
I was wondering how life would be without music. Boring? Dull ? Well, i think most song writers will pen down their feelings into songs and music. Sometimes, i feel that music helps each individual to express our their thoughts and how they feel about certain things. I mean, that's probably the reason why radio stations have shout outs and a time allocated for people to dedicate songs to one another. At times, we may feel that we're at lost for words and the songs/ music do help us to close up all the empty gaps that we are unable to fill. On the another hand, music does help us to add a little more emotions in certain things that we say. Example birthday celebrations. How sad it will be, if everyone was to just " sing" happy birthday song without the correct tone and music. Such a dull birthday celebration isn't it?
The post is kinda random, because i was looking at my poddy and just felt compelled to blog about some of my favourite music. LOL.
Oh man, as DOOMSday is nearing, the more i will need your comfort and your strength. =)
Sunday, October 08, 2006 9:59 PMIndeed, 1 more week before i will face the horrible promos. Can't wait for the life after that. Gonna do so many things during the post exams period. HAHA. I'm gonna start my swimming training soon, i'm gonna train my Dota and Pool skills. I'm gonna shop like nobody's business. I'm gonna have stay overs at my buddies' house. I'm gonna play basketball or soccer. I'm gonna give my best for my pastoral ministry. I'm gonna im gonna im gonna. So many things to do! Alright. Right now is not the time to thing of those stuff.
Went for Combined Team Rally today. A quaterly meeting for all the Careleaders. Had a powerful worship and together with Pastor Jeff's inspiring sermon, i'm so charged up and refreshed by God. Felt so convicted to give all my best for my people.
Ps Jeff talked about personal growth in each and everyone. Christ followers that is. We must see growth in our spiritual walk, capability, physical health and our social life. It is true that sometimes, especially as leaders, we may feel that we have reached that highest level of maturity and there's no need for us to grow more in the Kingdom of God. Because as we mature, our growth becomes less apparent( especially for the older believers), and sometimes, we think that we're growing.
However, this can be deceiving that we are actually growing. Growing our personal life needs to be intentional and not just by accident or when situation arises, then you start to grow. Effort and hardwork need to be injected in this process to see much more growth in our lives. This may seems fundamental and basic for most believers. But to me, it serves as a vital reminder for me. Growing needs to be intentional.
Next week will be much of a hectic week for me. With so many agendas to accomplish, i will need to rely on his strength to pull me through this stage. Studies, meeting up my guys, school. I know i can do it, i must. HAHA.

Thursday, October 05, 2006 2:15 PMHowever, yesterday was my GP and Chinese paper. GP is generally alright. The best part was chinese. I asked Yihui to impart me all her chinese skills( she got A2 for higher chinese, what an expert) and sure i did learn alot of words and idioms that will be useful for my essay, but i used them wrongly. =( . I mean, literally ALL of them.
I told yihui online that i'm so happy to be able to use most of the words that she taught me the day before. Then she asked, oh how do you use them? Then i explained to her over msn. Low and behold, she just typed OMG. Then i asked Why?! She said i used them all wrongly. OMG! Well, now i just pray that my teacher will be lenient towards her marking for my essay. lol. Anyway, i don't have high expectations for my Chinese, so a pass will be good enough. Most likely when nearing my A lvl chinese, i will embark in an intensive chinese language training. Yihui will be my master. HAHAH. I will call you Shi Fu next time. But don't turn me into a cheena pok. HAHA. Anyway, Thanks for your help and time even though you got papers the following day! =D
After the horrendous 6hours of examination, i went for Math tuition. I was mentally drained. So after tuition, i met up with Gar Meng for dinner. Dine at Prata house. HAHA. Again. He's my supper and prata house khaki. The conversation was filled with laughter and i enjoyed my time with this brother! Look forward for more of this meals again! Maybe next time we can go hunt for the best Chicken rice in Singapore or something. We shoudn't limit ourselves to just INDIAN food. LOL.

In terms of my ministry, studies and amongst my friends. I've got a BIG BIG dream for him, i really hope i can capture that dream and put it into reality and to inspire more people out there to be like small little stars that will shine the brightest in the darkest nights for Jesus.

Sunday, October 01, 2006 2:50 PMI watched it with Weilun and Alvin last night after Prayer meet. Went down to Junction 8 to catch it. Alvin had an overnight at my house! We talked, crapped and went to our all favourite Pratahouse to have supper! Honey paper Prata simply melts my heart. HAHA.
Had service today. Was great but i was very tired because i slept late last night. Trying to keep myself awake by drinking water, pinching myself and asking people around me for sweets. LOL. After that gideon met the unit coreteam and talked to us about our relationship with God, the vision we all have and how are we gonna get to our desired destination from where we're standing now. Simple as it seems, but these questions allow us to have a deeper thinking about what are doing what we're doing now.
After gideon met us. Siewluan said " Let me teach u guys a CG game and it's damn fun! Everyone close their eyes and i will appoint the victim." Okay, i was chosen as the victim. They asked me to stand up and i was blindfolded. Donavan and Marcus guide me from Hotel Meridian foodcourt all the way to Istana area. That means, i walked retardedly blindfolded down the streets of Orchard Road. Amen. Throughout the journey, Donavan kept asking me to do stupid things. Like asking me do half squats 10 times in the middle of the street!? (p.s, i didn't know where i was because i was blindfolded).
So i walked with my eyes covered. Until i reach this place, where i felt a sudden drop in the surrounding temperature. There's music in that place too, so i walked and walked and they asked me to sit down. I sat down and they uncovered my eyes, they started singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY song to me! I realized i was in Glasshouse Fish and Co. LOL! I was really touched by what they did, planning this memorable belated birthday celebration. My CG bought a tee shirt for me!
This is the first time i experience such a surprise. I think i won't ever forget what they did for me. =D thanks SIEWLUAN MARCUS DONAVAN CLARENCE NICHOLAS JUNHONG FREEDY for the celebration today! =D
I am really thankful that God placed me in sucha a loving spiritual family. A vision, love and goal that bring us from all walks of life to come together as a group to enjoy one another's fellowship. I believe new challenges are awaiting for this CG because new growth will come upon this group. End of 2006, a make or break season.
